CorePhysio’s roots are in the skilled treatment of orthopedic musculo-skeletal injury and conditions.
Orthopedic rehabilitation is the detailed evaluation and treatment of conditions including strains, sprains or pain in the spine, ankle, knee, and shoulder ligament, tendon and muscular injuries as well as conditions such as joint stiffness or arthritis. Many of our therapists are board-certified orthopedic specialists.
Board Certification (OCS, COMT or CFMT) requires a minimum of 2 years of work as a licensed therapist and then the passing of a comprehensive post graduate examination. As of 2019 there are more than 209,000 licensed physical therapists in the US with less then 16,000 that are board certified orthopedic specialists. As the knowledge base in the field of physical therapy has and continues to grow over the years CorePhysio staff have adapted by becoming increasingly specialized.
Subcategories within the more general area of orthopedics include some of our many areas of specialization such as post-operative care, TMJ, amputee rehab, and hand therapy. Our pelvic health clinical specialists are experienced in orthopedics, making them the ideal clinician for clients who may have pelvic pain as well as symptoms in their spine, pelvis and hips.
