What exactly is a B Corp, you ask?
B Corp is a certification recognized around the globe, for companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. The ‘B’ stands for Benefit, meaning certified B Corp companies do more than make a profit–we are committed to benefiting people and planet in all we do.
Together with other B Corporations, we’re passionately working toward an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative world. It’s a group effort, and shared success for all is very important to us! We go beyond the traditional business status quo, considering our impact upon and creating hopeful momentum for our clients, our employees, and the planet.
As a B Corp, we hold ourselves to the legal commitment of considering the interests of all stakeholders in our business operations—workers, clients, communities, and the environment—and we demonstrate accountability and transparency by disclosing our record of performance in a public B Corp profile.
As a part of the B Corp community, we proudly commit to raising the bar. Even the standards set by B Lab (the governing non-profit behind B Corps worldwide) are always rising, and every three years companies must go through the B Impact Assessment and recertification process again. It’s a rigorous but rewarding journey–one which officially shows we are on the right path as a business, working towards the right things.
Based on the B Impact assessment, CorePhysio earned an overall score of 105.0. The median score for ordinary businesses is currently 50.9, with a score of 80.0 needed for B Corp certification. When we received our B Corp certification, we signed a Declaration of Interdependence, making a commitment to embody the values of the B Corp community and work towards our collective vision of business as a movement for good. We believe:
