What To Expect For Your In-Person Appointment

If you are sick, please stay home and call or text us (via the green button at the bottom-right corner of this page) to either switch your in-person appointment to a telehealth visit or reschedule.

Per WA State Dept of Health and the CDC, as of April 3rd, 2023 we continue to recommend that all clients wear a face covering in healthcare facilities. If you wish to wear a face covering, we will always be able to supply one for you–our treat!

We ask that you enter the building alone, with the exception of a baby in your arms or required assistance to check-in.

Please start by washing your hands in one of our bathrooms. Once done, you will be asked to provide a verbal response to a brief COVID Screening questionnaire.

If you wish to wear a face covering and do not have one, one will be provided to you.

You are welcome to select your preferred reception space in order to maintain a comfortable social distance.

What is COVID?

There are different types of human coronaviruses, including some that commonly cause mild upper-respiratory tract illnesses. Per the CDC, COVID-19 is a new disease, caused be a novel (or new) coronavirus that has not previously been seen in humans.

How can I be an active participant in stopping the spread of germs?

  • It is critical to wash your hands thoroughly and frequently. All clients are encouraged to wash their hands vigorously for at least 20 seconds before and after each appointment; washrooms are conveniently located in the hallway.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (or your elbow) if you cough or sneeze.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.
  • Stay home when you’re sick.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick, even inside your home.
  • Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website for the most up-to-date recommendations on how to protect yourself and others.

What is CorePhysio doing to protect staff, clients, and our community?

Check out our S.M.A.R.T. Care Pledge to see all the steps we take every day to keep our clients, staff, and families safe in all we do. Additionally:

  • Our administrators are reviewing CDC, OSHA, and WA State Department of Health guidelines daily to keep our clients, our staff and their families, and our community safe.
  • We always support our staff and clients staying home when they are sick.
  • All staff members are up-to-date on their infection control training.
  • Signage about our safe practice policies is placed throughout the clinic.
Our goal is to cast a wide net of multimedia options to keep our clients informed of steps we are taking in a way that works best for them. We are updating our appointment reminders, voicemail, website, Facebook and Instagram regularly.

If I have mild symptoms of illness, but would normally have come to my in-person appointment, should I still come in?

The health and safety of our clients and staff is our top priority, and maintaining your appointments is essential to your progress.

If you know the cause of your symptoms and they are not related to COVID, you may still be seen while wearing a mask. If you cannot wear a mask, you may receive treatment outdoors.

We also have a telehealth option that’s both HIPAA compliant and easy–you’ll even be able to keep the same appointment time! Please call us at (360) 752-2673 opt 1, or select the green “Text” button at the bottom-right of this page, and ask to switch your in-person appointment to a telehealth appointment.

I see you offer telehealth. What is telehealth and what does it mean to me?

Telehealth is a unique and rapidly evolving platform for the delivery of healthcare services. It allows for convenient access to your healthcare provider–especially when circumstances limit on-site visits–through your laptop, computer, or smartphone.

Does it look and feel the same as seeing your physical therapist face-to-face? We think so. The largest difference is our inability to perform any manual therapy or hands-on guidance during our sessions together. We know you value this as much as we do and what you may miss in human contact, we accommodate in all other ways.

Our ability to evaluate, make a diagnosis, design and progress a treatment plan, educate, prescribe exercise, and restore meaningful activities into your life, stays exactly the same! We see this as a great opportunity to expand our exceptional care from our office into your home.

We are very excited about being able to provide this medium of care for our clients and community. If you would like a telehealth appointment, please call us at (360) 752-2673.

If my care is on pause, will it affect my progress?

Regular physical therapy is really important for clients to progress, and preventing the spread of COVID is essential for our community and the world right now. Remember, you are resilient and one of the biggest things we do as physical therapists is educate, create hope, and empower you to contribute to your healing. Continue your good work, we can’t wait to help you again!

What if my care is on pause and my authorization isn’t extended or my prescription expires?

Our amazing authorization specialist has confirmed that many authorizations are requested after a visit and progress note; that process will continue as normal.

I am post-surgical; if my physical therapy care is on pause, should I call my surgeon to let them know?

Yes, please update your surgeon. Your wellness is our highest priority and keeping your provider informed is important.
