CorePhysio is known regionally for our advanced ability to evaluate and treat men’s health diagnoses such as incontinence and pelvic pain.
Men have specific conditions related to the low back and pelvic region that can affect their overall health. Weak muscles, postural habits, surgery or injury can cause pelvic muscle challenges. Common conditions include:
- Pelvic pain, including low back, hip, penile, testicular and groin pain.
- Post-surgical pain/dysfunction, such as post-prostatectomy pain and urinary difficulties.
The good news is, these conditions can often be treated with physical therapy customized to your individual needs. CorePhysio has a dedicated staff of physical therapists specializing in pelvic health for all genders throughout the lifespan.
Communication with your doctor and other care providers is an integral part of our approach. After a thorough evaluation and diagnosis, your treatments are one-on-one with your therapist in a private treatment room at one of our modern, clean clinics.
Common treatment techniques include manual therapy, non-rigid postural education, core muscle strengthening and pain reducing strategies. Treatment can also include the re-education of the muscles of the pelvic floor using biofeedback or electrical stimulation to help you learn how to comfortably contract and release them.
Our goal is to empower you with education so you have a better understanding of your symptoms, and an individualized program to increase your strength, wellness and control.
